Jake is a cranky, 80-year-old World War II veteran who reluctantly returns to Normandy, France, for the 60th anniversary of D-Day. Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia presents... The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favourites Thursday November 26, 2009 10:30 a.m.
After much demand, that little caterpillar is returning, along with an assortment of favourit puppet characters.
The triple-bill includes the wonderful story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar's metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly; the fanciful account of Little Cloud's travels through the sky, and the Mixed-up Chameleon's discovery of his own unique nature.
The whimsical tales have enchanted several generations, and Mermaid's acclaimed stage adaptation using "black light" staging techniques and stunning puppets and props teaches as well as entertains. Teacher's Study Guide Available.

Mad Science presents CSI: LIVE, an exciting, interactive journey through the facinating world of crime scene investigations.
When a crime is committed at the Las Vegas premiere of the Max Spade Magic Show, the CSI team springs into action. Syndey Mathis and David Hart play the roles of CSI investigators and are on the case, assisted by supervisor Gil Grissom through a live video connection from the Las Vegas Crime Lab.
Audience members will want to participate on stage and become part of the action; becoming witnesses, suspects and CSI recruits. Together they will us superior logic and forensic know-how to uncover hidden details. Investigate the evidence and test their theories. Whether it's nalyzing mysterious gasses, launching projectiles into a target, or firing a laser beam across the stage, theCSI recruits will have to be on their toes to help solve the crime before its too late!
