Parks, Greenlands, Street Trees and boulevard maintenance are important parts of every community.
The Town of Markham has kept up with residential growth by opening 23 new parks between 2000 & 2003 and expects to complete another 35 by the year 2010.

Parks Currently in Development
The Town takes great pride in the design of its parks and tries to make each one unique. The most recent initiatives are Beaupre Park, Millennium Park, Church Street and Joseph Street parkettes and Tannery Pond. The Berczy Community Park is currently under construction and is expected to reach completion in late 2003.

Street Trees
Street Trees in NEW Developments generally have a 2 year guarantee and are coordinated through Planning & Urban Design.
