The Town of Markham provides financial assistance to Markham community groups, non-governmental organizations and public agencies for projects that promote environmental responsibility and innovation and enhance the Town's natural resources.

Apply today to help finance your group's environmental project. Eligibility for project funding includes: |
- Energy/water efficiency
- Climate change reductions
- Habitat restoration

Markham Trees for Tomorrow Fund
Trees for Tomorrow is a multi-year plan to dramatically increase tree cover in Markham. Our commitment was to plant an additional 75,000 trees in Markham by the end of 2010. The Trees For Tomorrow program was a great success and as of May 30, 2010 125,000 trees had been planted. The Trees for Tomorrow Fund provides financial assistance for large tree planting projects.
