Suzie McNeil
A Toronto-based rock/soul vocalist, Suzie McNeil's got her taste of fame after reaching the final four of the reality show Rock Star: INXS in 2005. She has since released two CDs, including the hit single "Believe", the unofficial anthem to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. An award winning Juno nominee, McNeil has also appeared in the Canadian production of We Will Rock You and YTV's The Next Star.

Leahy
Leahy, a 3-time Juno award-winning Canadian folk group is made up of the Leahy family's eight of 11 siblings. Their combination of step-dancing-style routines and Celtic instrumental music treat audiences to toe-tapping entertainment.

Justin Hines
Markham native and singer-songwriter Justin Hines won a radio contest to sing the Canadian national anthem at a Toronto Raptors game when he was 14 years old. His first gig was in front of 17,000 people! Hines has followed his debut album Sides with Chasing Silver, and a Christmas album, Season's Greetings.

The Olympic Torch Performance Team
The talented group of 14 dancers and four percussionists is lead by Creative Director/Choreographer, Mrs. Courtney Drake (Director of Kicks Dance Studio in Markham). These Markham residents were selected from the close to 50 performers that auditioned at the Markham Theatre earlier this year for the chance to be part of this exciting team. They will perform an 8 minute percussive piece, incorporating tap, jazz, modern and percussion with a Canadian Olympic theme.
