Summer Company & Secondary School Business Plan Competition, 2012 Successful Participants

Every year, the Markham Small Business Centre is proud to help develop, and ultimately celebrate, the entrepreneurial achievements of Markham's Youth.  We offer two programs specifically for Markham's High School, College and University students:

Summer Company Program

If you’ve got a winning idea for starting a new business and are a student who is not afraid of hard work, then you should consider applying to Ontario’s “Summer Company" Program.  You could be eligible to receive up to $3,000 in government funding to help you start and operate your own business.

Applications for Summer Company 2013 are now being accepted! The submission deadline is May 17, 2013.

Secondary School Business Plan Competition, Markham

In partnership with the City of Markham, MSBC invites all high school students in Markham to participate in the annual Secondary School Business Plan Competition.  There are cash awards for the top submissions:

• BDO Award of Excellence for First Prize: $600/group
• Finalists: $300/group

Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are now being accepted! The submission deadline is Monday, June 3, 2013.
