Summer Company & Secondary School Business Plan Competition, 2011 Successful Participants
Every year, the Markham Small Business Centre is proud to help develop, and ultimately celebrate, the entrepreneurial achievements of Markham's Youth. We offer two programs specifically for Markham's High School, College and University students:
If you’ve got a winning idea for starting a new business and are a student who is not afraid of hard work, then you should consider applying to Ontario’s “Summer Company" Program. You could be eligible to receive up to $3,000 in government funding to help you start and operate your own business.
Applications for the Summer of 2012 are now being accepted. The application deadline is May 7, 2012. Get more details here.
In partnership with the Town of Markham, MSBC invites all high school students in Markham to participate in the annual Secondary School Business Plan Competition. There are cash awards for the top submissions:
- BDO Award of Excellence for First Prize: $600/group
- Finalists: $300/group
