Markham is the most culturally diverse community in Ontario. This multiculturalism is reflected in the number and diversity of places of worship in our Town.

The first application for a Place of Worship has been received.

St. Maurice and Verena Coptic Orthodox Church
1050 Rodick Road

Location:  Northwest corner of Highway 7 and Rodick Road

Development Status:  Zoning by-law amendment approved by Council September, 2010

Total Land Area:  1.2 ha

Proposed Development:  A Place of Worship including a church, Sunday School classrooms, a community centre, daycare and gymnasium.  GFA of approximately ,717 sq.m. church accommodates seating for 800 Parishioners.  At grade and partial below grade parking.
