Methods of Bidding/Advertising
Bid calls for goods/services are either; by public advertising or by invitation. Bids are classified as formal or informal depending on the estimated value or complexity of the required item(s). Markham has four(4) basic categories of bid calls;
- Telephone/Fax Bids
- Formal Quotations
- Public Tenders
- Request for Proposal (RFP)
Bids are advertised through the Internet or in local and trade publications in accordance to the Markham's policies. Bid information may be located online at Biddingo (free to the public with the option to get a subscription) and also in local and Tender publication newspapers.
