Freedom Of Information

The Clerk's Department processes all requests for information under the Ontario Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This Act gives the public the right to request access to government held information. The Act also protects personal information held by government organizations and provides individuals with a right of access to their own personal information.


To make a request complete an FOI request form (PDF 44k/1p) and submit this with the required $5.00 request fee, payable to the City of Markham. It is important that requests be clear, specific and as detailed as possible.  Send the form and fee to City of Markham, Legislative Services Department, 1010 Town Centre Blvd., Markham, Ontario L3R 9W3.
