Birth Registrations

Every child born in Ontario must be registered with Ontario's Office of the Registrar General.

Parents with children born on or after February 23, 2009 should register their baby’s birth online at www.serviceontario.ca/newborn.External Link Parents can also use the online service to apply for their newborn’s birth certificate and Social Insurance Number.
