NEW Service Hours at the Civic Centre

As the City of Markham works to make access to services easier and more convenient for residents and businesses, NEW daily service hours will be offered at the Civic Centre, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays). 

Extended counter service hours at the Civic Centre will continue to be offered Thursdays until 7:00 p.m. at the Cash Counter and Contact Centre. Transactions may be conducted in-person, by phone or by email. Come in, call 905-477-5530 or email us at customerservice@markham.ca.

  • The Cash Counter (Thornhill doors) will be open to handle tax inquiries and to accept all in-person payments for Property Tax, PowerStream, York Region Transit Tickets, Parking Infraction Tickets, etc.
  • The Contact Centre Counter (Unionville doors) will be open to accept requests for marriage licences, wedding reservations and permits, Commissioner of Oath and other inquiries.
