It has been over two years since I was first elected to serve you, the residents of Unionville Ward 3. The time has flown by! I appreciate the support that you have shown me.
Many exciting events have happened all across our Town. New tennis courts at Angus Glen Community Centre, a new indoor soccer dome at St. Roberts, renovations to Thornhill library and of course the new Ice Rink at the Civic Centre. The Varley Art Gallery has just completed a 3000 square foot addition. Old favourites like the Stiver Mill Farmers Market, Unionville Village Festival and the Unionville Olde Tyme Christmas continue to get better and better.
Unionville is where I live, work and play. The heart and soul of our community is our beloved Main Street where we can stroll, shop and dine. What a great asset! There continue to be all year long events planned for the main street which you can access by going to www.unionvilleinfo.com
Feel free to take a walk through the historic village south of the tracks to view the lovingly restored Heritage homes. Look for the Stiver Mill and the Unionville Train Station both located on Station Lane. Next summer watch for more fun at the Millennium Bandstand.
Of course, if you have a concern about a municipal issue feel free to contact me by email at dhamilton@markham.ca
