Markham: 1.5% Tax Rate Increase - Lowest in GTA

In February, Council approved a modest 1.5% tax rate increase, well below the rate of inflation, making it the lowest in the GTA for 2012. Markham has had the lowest tax rate increase in the GTA for the last four years. 

 

 Markam Council approved moving to four payments per year for those

 who opt to pay their taxes in instalments. 

  Beginning in January 2013, tax instalments will be due on the following   

  proposed due dates: 

2013 Interim Residential & Commercial / Industrial 

February 5 and March 5

2013 Final Residential      2013 Final Commercial / Industrial

July 5 and Aug 6                   October 8 and November 5
