Fees and Charges

Section of the Municipal Act S.O. 2001, Chapter C.25 provides authority for Town Council to levy fees.

By-Law 2002-276 / 2009-2 allows the Town of Markham to impose fees or charges for services or activities provided or done by the Town of Markham as follows:

 

Corporate Services - Tax and Assessment
Assessment Roll Printout $2.50 Per page
Cheque Recall from Bank $5.50 Per transaction
Income Tax Receipt Administration Fee $16.50 Per tax account & tax year
New Tax Account Set Up Fee $65.00 Per new account
Ownership Change Administration Fee $28.50 Per update
Returned Cheque Fee $33.50 Per Cheque
Search Fee - Off System $16.50 Per year/roll number
Search Fee - On System $8.50 Per year/roll number
Tax Certificate (By Mail) $56.00 Per roll number
Tax Certificate (Expedited) $70.50 Per roll number
