Summer Camps
Register now for another year of awesome summer camps that will provide your child with a healthy mix of fun, learning, active play, crafts and themed activities. Learning activities in MPL’s camps have been developed with the assistance of teachers and experts in child development.
New camps have been added to meet demand including:
• Additional sessions of the popular Adventures in Math & Science, Public Speaking and Creative Writing Camps
• Get Ready for Drama, a new half day camp for children 3 to 5 years old
• Microsoft Xbox and PC Interactive Games Camp – an all new camp for kids who love computer games!

CAMP FAQs

After care
Our full day camps offer an after care program for parents needing supervised care for their child following the scheduled time of the camp. Children are supervised in the Library while participating in quiet activities such as reading, board games and crafts. After care is available until 6:00 pm on Monday to Thursday. On Friday children must be picked up before the Library closes at 5:00 pm. There is an additional charge of $18 per week for after care.

Lunches and snacks
Please send your child with a nutritious, nut-free lunch, snacks and water. They’ll be busy, active and need to keep fueled! Your child will also be participating in outdoor activities so sunscreen and a hat are also recommended.

Camp Staff
Our camp staff are university or college students who are pursuing a degree in a camp-related field. They are energetic, have a passion for literacy and learning, have strong leadership skills and most importantly LOVE working with children. Camp staff have First Aid and injury prevention training and are committed to providing your child with a safe, caring and fun-filled camp experience.

Registering for Camp
Register early and save! Register between February 6th and February 12th and receive 10% off your camp registration. Please note, the discount applies to the camp registration fee only and does not include after care. Full payment is required to receive the discount. Regular camp registration will begin on Tuesday, February 14th. Registrations received after the Early Bird Registration will be accepted until the camp is full.

2. Complete the registration form and drop it off, with payment, at the Customer Service Desk of the following community centres:

• Angus Glen Community Centre

• Milliken Mills Community Centre

• Thornhill Community Centre

Refund Policy
All cancellation requests must be received in writing 5 business days prior to the first day of the camp session.
