Actors Workshop Sold Out

For kids 13 years or older

The Actors Workshop is designed to give aspiring actors the opportunity hone their talents and build up their stage experience – no experience necessary.  Performance skills aren’t not just for the stage, but can benefit young adults in all aspects of their lives: speech, confidence, presentation skills and building a sense of self.

Throughout the two-week session Actors Workshop campers will take part in all aspects of a theatrical production.  All performers are responsible for learning their lines, cues, blocking, songs, and choreography. Actor’s workshop campers are also encouraged to take on some leadership roles in areas where they are comfortable; be it helping with creating props and sets, or backstage. On a daily basis, a variety of theatre techniques are explored, such as improvisation, puppetry, accents, stage combat, dramatic movement, script and character analysis, and more.

Actors Workshop students are given an additional opportunity to create their own piece, to be performed on the final day of camp for their fellow campers. This is done with the help if the experienced staff, and could include a monologue, scene, song, dance, or other.
