Young students in Markham now have priority access to world-class performing arts, thanks to Flato Markham Theatre's Every Child, Every Year initiative. Every Child, Every Year enables Every Student enrolled in grades 1 to 3 schools in Markham to attend one matinee performance at the Flato Markham Theatre once a year at No Charge.

Three doors, three chairs, three wooden boards...one light bulb...in this timeless setting, the very different worlds of three clowns collide. Through various scenes forged with humour and flair, this show examines the topic of human relationships. It inspires playfulness, joy, and - most of all - lots of laughter, as these three clowns have a few tricks up their sleeves.
Sursaut Dance Company The Cicada and the Ant

Full of movement and dance this beautiful show provides a glimpse into the world of art and agriculture. A field of soil is the canvas for this brilliant group of dancers, whose choreography tells the story of settlers who build, sow, work, sing and harvest, painting a down-to-earth and poetic vision of the world of an artist, and the life of a small farmer.

Adele, Gregory, Angus, Cecilia, Joseph and Evelyn are only between five and 14 years old, but they're already multi-talented musicians and performers. Pros at the fiddle, cello, voice, French accordion, piano, and French Canadian step-dancing, you'll be inspired at this talented family performs their original Canadian folk music, celebrating the tradition of the East Coast and sparking a love of music in us all!
