Operations

The Operations or Suppression Division within Markham Fire and Emergency Services represents the third line of defence in our community based fire protection model. The men and women assigned to the Suppression Division are prepared to respond 24 hours per day and 7 days a week to emergencies. The first line of defence is public education and prevention followed by the second line of defence which is fire safety standards and code enforcement.
