Do you know your Collection Area?
If you do not know what collection area you live in, simply follow the two choices you have below: Search by Address or Map Search.

Two Choices:

Search by Address*
It's as simple as 1, 2, 3!

• Enter your house number.
• Enter the first 3 letters of your street name and press the enter key.
• Choose your street from the menu and click on the search button. Press reset to search again.

Map Search*

• 1. Locate your home on the Collection Day Area map.
  2. Click on the area that corresponds with the location of your home. A PDF calendar page displays your entire collection schedule for the year.

Where can I get a Collection Schedule?

Collection schedules are available online by using the map or address lookup button above. If you would like a paper copy of your collection schedule you can pick one up at:

• All Markham Recycling Depots
• Angus Glen Community Centre - 3990 Major Mackenzie Drive East
• Centennial Community Centre - 8600 McCowan Road
• Markham Civic Centre - 101 Town Centre Boulevard
• Milliken Mills Community Centre - 7600 Kennedy Road
• Thornhill Community Centre - 7755 Bayview Avenue

Collection Schedule Standards

• Garbage - collected every other week (except where noted in schedule)
• Recycling (Blue Box) - collected once a week
• Organics (Green Bin) - collected once a week
• Yard waste - collected every other week (March to December)

Please follow your waste collection schedule and remember to have your material at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on pick up day.

Statutory Holiday's

Statutory Holiday's can impact everyone's collection day. Whenever a holiday falls between Tuesday and Friday, your garbage/recycling/organics pickup will be delayed by one day, on the days following the holiday. For example, on Good Friday there will be no collection. Friday Areas A & B, will be collected one day later on Saturday.
