Markham residents can drop off material at any of the four community recycling depots (scroll down for locations to find a depot nearest you).  Blue Boxes, Green Bins, Kitchen Containers and Apartment Recycling Bags are available for purchase at the following depot locations: Thornhill, Milliken Mills, Unionville and Markham. We welcome Markham residents to pay us a visit.

Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics can be brought to the Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Depot.

York Region operates Community Environmental Centers across York Region where residents can drop off materials. For a complete list of locations and accepted items please visit the York Region website.

Goodwill Donation and Habitat for Humanity are on site to accept reusable items.

How to get a Blue Box, Green Bin or Kitchen Container

Blue Boxes, Green Bins, Kitchen Collectors and Blue Apartment Recycling Bags can be purchased at all Markham Recycling Depots. Broken or damaged Blue Boxes and Green Bins can also be exchanged free of charge at the Depots.
