On roads where there are no storm sewers and the road edge is lined with a ditch (rural roads), corrugated metal pipes (culverts) are used to allow storm water to flow under driveway entrances. These culverts are usually located within the road allowance and form part of the City of Markham's infrastructure. This form may be used by applicants wishing to add, replace or make alterations to a culvert pipes adjacent their property. This form may also be used to request replacement of any culvert that has exceeded its service life or has become non-functional.
A permit with associated fee is required prior to the commencement of any culvert modification work. A site inspection will be performed to confirm work details and determine the amount of any fees due.
Where permission has been given for work to be done by the applicant’s forces, a second site inspection will be required during the pipe installation.
Any additional inquiries may be made to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please place Culvert Modification in the subject line of the email.
