Traffic Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient flow of traffic for over 2,000 km of roads with approximately 100 signalized intersections. The department conducts over 700 traffic investigations and studies annually, including:

  • school zone safety procedures
  • all-way stop and traffic signal analysis
  • vehicle speed analysis
  • pedestrian traffic studies
  • on-street parking assessments
  • school crossing guard warrants
