This past year, our team has been hard at work researching, collecting data, and engaging with stakeholders to craft recommendations and action items that will help guide the future of Markham’s economic and cultural landscape. We are now proud to release Markham is More - the City’s new 2023 to 2027 Economic Development and Culture Strategy which will lay out an important roadmap as we collaborate with community partners to grow Markham’s economy on a foundation of arts, culture, and innovation. By creating a strategy that merges economic development and culture together, we strive to recognize the interdependent role that arts and culture play in creating the quality of life that is necessary to attract talent to a community.
