The “Summary of Remuneration and Expenses for Mayor and Council” represent all expenses submitted, approved and allocated up to the end of the period identified.
Expenses are divided into the following categories:
- Councillors' Remuneration - includes both local and Region of York portion.
- Discretionary Expenses - includes business expenses that are related to the Councillor's performance of duties that have not been pre-approved by Council resolution.
- Council Directed Expenses (Non-discretionary expenses) - includes expenses that have been pre-approved by Council resolution.
