Councillor Amanda Yeung Collucci (楊綺清) is the first Chinese female elected to City of Markham Council and was recently re-elected as Ward 6 Councillor for another term. With her business experience and entrepreneurship over 20 years at IBM, she is an award winning entrepreneur and a winner of 2015 RBC Top 25 Immigrant Award. Councillor Collucci is very dedicated in serving the community and she has a reputation for the passion and excellence supporting her community.
Councillor Collucci has served as the Vice President of the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs (ACCE), a non-profit organization encouraging entrepreneurship and inspiration for both new and established entrepreneurs. Councillor Collucci was also a Co-Chair for Castlemore Public School Parent Council and has helped resolving the traffic concerns surrounding the school area. She is a frequent speaker promoting entrepreneurship at Centennial & Seneca College. She shares both of her personal and business success experiences and her immigration story at various forums. Councillor Collucci also voices her thoughts and concerns at the York Region Transportation Forum for future improvements.
Councillor Collucci is very active in serving the community which includes a fundraiser to support the Markham Stouffville Hospital Breast Cancer and Cancer Clinic and continuous support to the Markham Jazz Festival. Her cleaning business also donates free cleaning services to women cancer patients. Over the past years as the Markham Ward 6 Councillor, she has helped different organizations raised over $300,000 for charity purposes.
Councillor Amanda Yeung Collucci and her family have been residing in Markham Ward 6 for more than 17 years and she is honoured to continue to represent the local resident in the community.
General boundaries: Ward 6 is bounded on the north by the northern boundary of the City, south by 16th Avenue, west by Warden Avenue, and east by Highway 48 and Main Street Markham.
