2022 Holiday Donation Drive

The City of Markham’s By-law Enforcement and Regulatory Services division is collecting non-perishable, unexpired food (including unexpired pet food) and personal care items for this year’s donation drive.

Markham Fire and Emergency Services is collecting unwrapped, new toys for those in need in the community this holiday season.

Due to COVID-19, the need for food (including pet food) and toys is greater than previous years. Let’s help make sure no family goes hungry, or without toys this holiday season!

Markham Fire & Emergency Services is collecting new, unwrapped toys for all ages until December 12, 2022.

Toys will be donated to the Salvation Army and Markham Stouffville Hospital’s Children’s Centre.

Food, Pet Food and Personal Care Items Drive

The City of Markham’s By-law Enforcement and Regulatory Services division is collecting non-perishable, unexpired food (including unexpired pet food) and personal care items until January 3, 2023.

All donations will go to Markham Food Bank.

Items most needed include:

• Canned vegetables,
• Canned meat/fish,
• Rice,
• Cereal,
• Baby food,
• Pet food,
• Towels and blankets for pets,
• Toiletries,
• Feminine hygiene products,
• Cold-weather clothing (coats, gloves, scarves, etc.)

Where Can I Drop Off Donations?

Toy donations will be accepted until December 12, 2022.

Food, pet food and personal care items donations will be accepted until January 3, 2023.

Donations may be dropped off at any Markham Fire Station. View the fire station locations.
