It's time, cut your grass

If your grass is taller than your iPhone, it’s time to cut it.

Get into those summer chore routines, like cutting the grass. Our By-Law Officers are getting an increase in complaints under the Keep Markham Beautiful By-Law. No portion of the ground cover (ie. grass and weeds) can exceed 15 CM (6 inches).

Do your lawn (and your neighbours) a favour and tidy up the yard.

Keep it down. Loud music is not everyone’s forte

Winter’s are long, we get it, we’ve waited for this. Summer is here and people begin to enjoy their time outdoors. We want to remind you that noise outdoors has its time limits.

Playing loud music outdoors is not allowed from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day (9:00 AM on Sundays).

Shouting, whistling and singing is not allowed after 11:00 PM.

Fridays and Saturdays are an exception to the above: noise is permitted until 11:00 PM.

We break it down in the chart below:

Days of the week
