Board and Committee Vacancies
Box Grove Community Centre Board
The Board is responsible for the operation, management and maintenance of the Box Grove Community Centre. There are currently up to three (3) vacancies on the Board.
• Meetings are held bi-monthly on a weekday to be determined in the evening.
Applicants should reside in the Box Grove community.

Heritage Markham Committee
The committee advises and assists City Council on matters relating to heritage conservation and promotion. There are currently up to five (5) vacancies.
• Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 7:15 PM
Applicants should have an interest in local architectural conservation.

Heintzman House Community Centre Board
Heintzman House Community Centre is seeking volunteers for its Board of Directors. It advises the City on preservation and operation of this heritage mansion. The Board participates in Doors Open Markham and the Thornhill Village Festival, and through its committees it encourages Community involvement with an annual Artisan Craft Show, Art Show, and Halloween night for children. There are currently up to three (3) vacancies on the Board.
• Meetings are held once a month except during the summer, or in December and January.
Applicants should reside in the Thornhill Area.

Advisory Committee on Accessibility
The Committee shall assist Council in improving opportunities for persons with disabilities by promoting the implementation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) in Markham. There are currently up to two (2) vacancies on the Committee.
• Meetings are held the third Monday of the month at 5:00 PM at the Markham Civic Centre (excluding July and August).
Applicants must be a person with a disability.
