Geocaching
A mix between trivia and a scavenger hunt using latitude and longitude coordinates, geocaching is the perfect activity for explorers! We have two trails: Pathfinder, perfect for children under 8, and Trailblazer, for 8+. Geocacheing is an outdoor activity. Remember to dress for the weather!

Snowshoeing
Explore our 25-acre site by snowshoe! Museum staff will help you get fitted with a pair of our snowshoes, and you can explore the museum grounds looking for wildlife tracks and enjoying winter weather. Snowshoeing is a weather dependent activity and availability may vary. Visitors must be wearing winter boots and cold-weather clothing to participate in snowshoeing.

Mini Golf
Play 9 holes of Mini Golf with obstacles inspired by historic Markham landmarks! Mini golf
is not recommended for children under the age of 3. Parental supervision is
encouraged.
Enjoy a guided tour of our 25-acre site and heritage buildings. Guided tours are included in admission and occur at 2:00 PM on weekdays, and at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on the weekends.

All pottery programs and workshops take place in our Pottery Studio located on the Markham Museum site. Please park near the northern end of the parking lot to the right of the Mount Joy Administrative Building (Red brick building). The entrance will be a short black gate on the side near the north drive in gate. The gate will be unlocked by a staff member prior to the start of the program to allow entry.
You will receive an email confirmation when your pottery is available for pick up, typically at least 3 weeks after the date of your class or workshop. Please pick-up your pottery from the John Lunau Center during the Museum's business hours.
