Markham Village Branch

The Markham Village branch is located in the heart of the Markham Village area on the site of the original Markham Fair. The building design was inspired by an Iroquois longhouse and the Agricultural Hall of the fairgrounds both honouring the first settlers to the area. The branch originally opened in 1980 and was expanded and renovated in 2007. This renovation also provided office space in the library’s lower level, which now houses the Markham Public Library administration offices.
