| December 3 | Hand Lettered Holiday Cards Workshop Sunday, December 3 | 1 to 3:00 PM | Ages 16+ Why buy a holiday card when you can make one by hand? In this two-hour workshop, students will learn how to draw beautiful script letters and use them to create their own one-of-a-kind holiday cards and gift tags. Students will leave the workshop with their finished greeting cards as well as a set of worksheet to continue their hand lettering practice at home. No experience is needed to join this workshop. Some materials provided. Registration required. |
| December 3 | The Art of Printmaking: Holiday Cards and Tea Workshop Sunday, December 3 | 1 to 3:30 PM | Ages 18+ Join this holiday-themed workshop with artist/instructor Sarka Buchl-Stephenson. Participants get hands-on to learn printmaking techniques and then create one-of-a-kind cards for their friends and families. Come with your loved ones and share an afternoon of art making and tea. Design decorations and make wreaths, or paper snowflake sculptures all while listening to traditional Christmas classics. All materials included. Registration required. |

The Studio is waiting! Art classes at the Varley are designed for all levels of artists. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time, or returning to your practice, the Varley has something for everyone. Learn from qualified and professional art instructors in a fun and supportive environment.
Children's Programs
The Varley offers a range of creative programs to inspire your child! Kids 5 to 12 are encouraged to express how they see the world around them as they walk through the gallery and get hands on in the studio using a variety media and techniques.
