Markham’s Canada Day event enjoys a renowned legacy of pride and inclusion as a collection of several in-person events that unite our diverse community. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, both Markham’s 2020 & 2021 Canada Day activities went virtual, delivering a selection of online programming, videos, and family-friendly activities.
The success of our last two events demonstrates the important role community engagement plays throughout the current pandemic. Markham’s 2022 event will provide opportunities specifically developed to bring the community together – whether in-person or online, as pandemic restrictions allow.
