Large metal items are collected for recycling once a month. You will need to make an appointment and register each item. Smaller metal items can be dropped off at any Markham Recycling Depot.

Some items include:

  • Bicycles
  • BBQs (propane tanks removed)
  • Lawn mowers (fuel removed)
  • Metal bed frames (dismantled and bundled)
  • Microwaves

Please call 905.477.5530 to book an appointment for a free pick-up.

All registered items must be set out at your curb by 7 AM on your appointment day. Or, you can put them out after 7 PM the night before.
