Stay Tuned! We are updating our program to adjust for COVID safety.

The City of Markham has partnered with Trout Unlimited Canada to present the Yellow Fish Road Program!

This free, interactive program is a great way for residents of all ages to learn about the importance of source water protection and preventing stormwater pollution.

Participants will receive an educational presentation with fun activities, paint local storm drains with yellow fish and participate in a community cleanup along the way!

The yellow fish will act as a visual reminder to residents that untreated stormwater (including anything and everything that enters the stormwater sewers) flows directly into local rivers, streams, and lakes and can be harmful to the environment.

Since the creation of Yellow Fish Road Program by Trout Unlimited Canada in 1991, it has become a nationwide environmental initiative, hosted in over 250 communities.
