Fire Code Inspection,File Search and Fire Report Application

The City of Markham is pleased to provide its residents and business owners to request Fire Code Inspections, File Searches and Fire Reports online. Applicants must provide the required information on the screens that follow, including applicant contact information, authorization for release and any other supporting documents.

  • The Fee for a full inspection is $234.50 plus HST
  • The Fee for a file search is $153.00 plus HST
  • The Fee for a fire report is $153.00 plus HST

In order to obtain a file search or a fire report you are required to upload an authorization for release letter signed by the property owner.  If you cannot obtain this document, you must submit the request via the City's Freedom of Information portal:
