Pay a Parking Ticket

Learn about parking ticket payment options and the Administrative Monetary Penalty System.

Penalty Notice payments must be paid within 15 days from the date of issuance. Should payment not be received within the 15 days you will be subject to additional fees.

If you wish to dispute your Penalty Notice or think that it was issued in error, you are required to choose the option to request a Screening Review appointment within 15 days from the date of issuance.

Pay your Penalty Notice by Mail:

  • Payment may only be made by cheque or money order. Do not send cash via mail.
  • Postdated cheques are not accepted.
  • Write your Penalty Notice number on the front of your cheque or money order.
  • Cheque or money order to be payable to the City of Markham.

Important Notes:

  1. Payment must be received on or before your penalty due date to avoid additional fees being applied.
  2. Non-sufficient funds, cancelled or reversed payments will be charged an administrative fee.
  3. Penalty Notices issued by authorized Private Security companies (identified by the letter “T” or “S”, for example T12345) may take up to 5 business days to appear in our system. If your ticket is not currently listed please try again after that time.

It is your responsibility to follow up on the status of your penalty notice.
