The City of Markham makes it easy to apply for a fire route. Use the forms below to make your request. You must pay a processing fee of $204.50 plus HST. This needs to be made payable to the City of Markham.

We’ll return a copy of the designated fire route plan to the owner of the property. We’ll also include a list of sign suppliers and detailed installation guidelines.
Fire Prevention staff will inspect your route construction and signs. They need to do this before you can start using your fire route.
Fire routes are governed by Parking By-Law 2005-188.
