Wedding Chapel & Wedding Room

The City of Markham's Wedding Chapel is an elegant location with quiet ambiance and seating for up to 45 people. If you're looking for an even more intimate setting, you may wish to choose the Wedding Room, which will hold up to 8 people.

Both the Chapel and the Wedding Room are located at the Markham Civic Centre.

When you arrange your wedding service in either location, the City provides a registered officiant to conduct the ceremony. You may book a consultation with your officiant ahead of time or come in on the day of your wedding.

A limited selection of traditional and contemporary music is available in the Chapel or you may choose to play your own selections on the Chapel's audio system.

Availability

The chapel is available seven days a week between the hours of 9 AM and 7 PM. The chapel may be booked for more than one hour, but it must be booked in one-hour increments only, such as 10 AM to 7 PM. You should confirm the time of your wedding with the registered officiant or clergy member you have chosen.

Wedding Service Fees

All fees for wedding services are per hour and include applicable taxes. The fee is payable to the City of Markham at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

The fees are as follows:

Monday to Friday, between 9 AM to 3 PM:

• Wedding Chapel $468.95 per hour

• Wedding Room with Officiant (City Staff) $468.95
  

For weekend or after-hours services:

• Wedding Chapel $468.95
  
• Officiant (External) $330.53
