What if I have an existing membership that has been on hold due to COVID-19 facility closures?

Hassle-Free memberships remain on hold and pre-authorized payments will not be processed. If you would like to access the fitness centres during this time, you must purchase a Return To Fit membership.

Term memberships remain on hold. The expiry date for your membership will be extended based on the number of days our community and fitness centres are closed.

If you like to access the fitness centres during this time, you must purchase a Return to Fit membership. You may cancel your term membership and use the remaining credit towards a Return to Fit membership.

Is swimming pool access and aquafit classes included with Return to Fit membership?

No. Swimming pool access and aquafit classes are not included.

Is sauna, towel service, whirlpool, change room and shower access included to the Return to Fit membership?

No. Towel service, indoor change rooms, sauna, whirlpool, lockers and showers are not available. Members must arrive and leave in their workout attire. Washrooms are available; it is recommended that members limit the use of the washrooms while at the centre.

Do I need to wear a mask when exercising?

No. You do not need to wear a mask or face covering when exercising. Masks or face coverings are required at all other times while indoors.

When is my Return to Fit pre-authorized payment charged each month?
Pre-authorized payments for Return to Fit memberships are processed on the 15th of every month or the first business day after the 15th if it falls on a weekend.

Can I convert my group fitness class registration into a Return to Fit membership?

Yes! To get access to all fitness classes and become a Return to Fit member, please contact the Contact Centre at customerservice@markham.ca or 905.477.5530.

When can I retrieve personal belongings from locker rooms?

If your locker is located in an open fitness centre:

  • Return to Fit members with personal belongings in a locker will have one opportunity to retrieve them during one of their pre-booked workout sessions.
