Summer Camp 2019 Registration Dates
City of Markham Camps
Camps help children learn while having fun. At our camp, kids work with their hands, solve problems, and learn how to work as a team. They also stay active!
Find a Summer Camp
Find the camp that is perfect for your child. Use our online summer camp search tool to sort camps by start date, location, age range, activity, and more.
Year-Round Fun When School Is Out
Our Winter Break Camps, March Break Camps, Summer Camps, PA Day Camps, and Holiday Drop-in Camps are for kids of all ages.
Our camps are affordable and are held in community centres, libraries, and cultural buildings near you. We offer week-long and two week-long camps, as well as full-day and half-day camps.
Many of our camps can provide care for children before the day starts and after it ends. For a small fee, your child can play board games, cards, puzzles, and take part in arts and crafts before and/or after camp.
All camp staff are certified in Standard First Aid and HIGH FIVE – a national standard for children’s sports. All library camp staff are trained to give standard first aid and CPR.
We want to make sure that a staff member is always available to help your child. This is why we have multiple counsellors in each camp.
5 years and under: 1 counsellor per 7 campers
6 years and up: 1 counsellor per 10 campers
We welcome children with special needs. During the summer months, a trained staff member can provide your child with one-on-one support. For Winter Break and March Break camps, a volunteer may be able to give additional help. For more information, please call 905-477-7000 extension 3930.
Camps continue during poor weather. If it is too hot, camps will be held in cool locations when possible. All Winter Camps and March Break Camps take place indoors.
All campers who attend Eco Camp at Chimo must take the bus to camp. Bussing information is listed in the camp section of Markham Life magazine. When you register, please indicate your preferred bus stop.
