Angus Glen Community Centre and Library is one of Markham’s five major community centres currently serving the needs of our growing and diverse community. Located on Major Mackenzie Avenue East between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road, this outstanding Centre has two NHL-size arenas each with spectator seating for 450, a swimming pool and a gymnasium. Older Adult Services are offered at this and other City of Markham facilities.
For those interested in hosting an event, community meeting, or other function, there is a community hall and meeting rooms of different sizes available for rent. There are also spaces throughout the building perfect for studying, socializing and relaxing including the two-storey library featuring study rooms and a children’s section.
The Angus Glen Library offers the best of traditional library services and new and innovative spaces. Visit the Library to find a great book to read or movie to watch, to study, research, or use a computer. You'll also find opportunities to discover new technologies, participate in maker activities, learning and other digital skills, or connect with others through our many programs, workshops and events.
Different programs are run in these rooms scubas arts and craft, music, first-aid training, and many different lessons. In the youth room, youth are welcome to play many board games and video games as well as table tennis. All of these rooms are available for rental.
The Angus Glen Community Centre includes dedicated areas for seniors activities. The seniors centre has a large and open main area and an inner lounge as well as a small kitchen. Angus Glen programs are both drop-in and pre-registered. There is no membership fee required. Lean more about the Seniors Club.
