Community Recognition Celebration
Do you know someone who has excelled in sports, the arts, or STEM/academics? Or know a not-for-profit organization celebrating a service milestone? Help us recognize them at Markham’s annual Community Recognition Celebration.
Complete the form below by clicking the blue button. To be recognized at this year’s celebration, submissions must be received by September 30, 2025.
Please note: Submissions are accepted year-round. Those received after the deadline may be considered for this year’s celebration, at the City’s discretion. Otherwise, they will be considered for the following year’s celebration.

Recognition Categories
- Athletics
Recognizes individuals or teams who have achieved excellence in sports and have been recognized at a regional, provincial, national, or international level for their athletic success.
- Arts and Culture
Recognizes individuals or organizations whose achievements in the arts and culture community have been recognized at a regional, provincial, national, or international level.
- STEM and Academics
Recognizes individuals or teams whose achievements in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), or academics and have been recognized at a regional, provincial, national, or international level.
- Service Milestones
Recognizes not-for-profit organizations who are celebrating significant milestones of dedicated service in the City of Markham, beginning at 20 years and continuing in 10-year increments.
