Public Parks
The City of Markham is presently piloting applications for public park events, offering rentals of selected parks for community based events. Markham's public parks boast a diverse array of features, elements, and sites of varying sizes tailored to accommodate your group's needs.
The public parks that are available for applications:
- Ada Mackenzie Park - 185 South Park Rd, Thornhill, ON L3T 0B6 - Site Map (PDF)
- Simonston Park - 15 Simonston Blvd, Markham, ON - Site Map (PDF)
- Wismer Park (unavailable for this season due to construction) - 980 Bur Oak Ave, Markham, ON L6E 0E1
Temporarily available parks for 2026 (only available during Saturdays):
- Bayview Reservoir - 31 Sycamore Dr, Thornhill, ON L3T 5V3 - (site map to come)
- Milliken Mills Park - 4375 14th Ave, Markham, ON L3R 0J2 - (site map to come)
Outdoor Event Season - June to October
Black out dates 2026 season:
- June 6, 7, 19, 20, 26 - 28
- July 1
- August 14 to 16
- September 12
Submission deadline for the first round is the end of April. Please note that all submissions must be made at least 10 weeks prior to the event date.
Accepted applicants will be contacted by City of Markham staff to further discuss the event and components.
