Join us for our signature AppleFest celebration on Saturday, September 19th from 10 AM to 5 PM as we transform the Museum’s 25-acre site into a vibrant festival filled with fresh apple cider, family-friendly activities, local businesses, talented artisans, and all things apples!
AppleFest presented by Don Valley North Toyota is your destination for an unforgettable experience featuring:
Cider Making – See our fully functioning cider mill in action for one day only! Sample and take home your very own fresh pressed cider.
Vendor Market – a wide variety of hand-crafted artisanal goods, treats, and more from small businesses found across our site.
Food & Drink - Enjoy a diverse array of mouth-watering food and beverages including event-special apple-flavoured goodies.
Live Entertainment and Shows - Experience a vibrant lineup of local entertainment, emerging artists, and lively shows.
Family Fun - Hop on our scenic Don Valley North Trolley trackless train presented by Don Valley North Toyota, play a round of mini golf, enjoy inflatable fun, challenge friends and family to lawn games, participate in apple-themed activities, and more coming!
Immersive Historical Experiences - Witness the blacksmith shop and print shop come to life as historical artisans demonstrate their skills and gets hands-on with apple schnitzing.
Hands-On Exhibition Spaces - Explore engaging exhibitions like our “Everyday Superheroes” exhibition, "A Picture of Markham - The Art of Pat Wheeler," and the reimagined "Markham Community Makers”.

Their 4-legged CAT and DOG celebrities will showcase how to bring a character to life on the big screen. The stunt performers are the daredevils of the movie world! Their Stunt cat/dog team will showcase some incredible stunts like; jump rope, skateboard ramps, scooters, handstands and tight rope walking!
*NEW* Tim Burr Circus Lumberjack Show - A highly interactive comedy stunt show with a Canadian Lumberjack theme including Tricks with Fire, Log Rolling Stunt, Chainshaw Juggling, and the main event of a volunteer from the audience participating in a ridiculously hilarious parody of a Lumberjack Competition!

- How much are tickets?
Online Prices through Zeffy:
Children (0-3) - Free
Youth (4-18) - $11
Adults (19-54) - $14
Older Adults - $12
Admission & Pottery - $35* (Includes admission and a pottery workshop at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, or 3:00 PM)*Tickets purchased on the day-of at the front desk will be subject to an increase in price.
*Museum Members can get a discount on our "Admission & Pottery" ticket by calling our Program Coordinator at 905-477-7000 ext. 3165 or emailing museuminfo@markham.ca- Where is the event located?
The event will take place at Markham Museum, located at 9350 Markham Road, Markham, ON L3P 3J3.
- What happens if there is inclement weather?
The event will proceed rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather, as this event will have activations taking place both indoors and outdoors.
- Is there parking?
Yes, free parking is available onsite and in the surrounding areas. Additional parking space locations to be announced.
- Can I use my Markham Museum Membership to gain entry?
Yes. Please provide your membership at the front desk on the day of to gain entry. Markham Museum Members do not require tickets to attend.
- Can I use my ASTC, Attractions Ontario, ROAM memberships or Free Admission Pass to gain entry?
No. A ticket is required to attend this event.
- Can I use Canoo to access this event?
No. A ticket is required to attend this event.
- Are dogs allowed?
Yes. While dogs are welcome at our event, to help preserve a safe and respectful environment for both visitors and wildlife, all dogs must remain leashed at all times while on Museum grounds and are not permitted in designated heritage buildings (service dogs exempted). By working together, we can coexist with nature and appreciate the vital role these animals play in our local ecosystem.
- What do I do if I can’t make it?
Unfortunately there are no refunds for this event.
