Flato Markham Theatre Invites Audiences to Say “Yes” to its Spectacular 2026/2027 Diamond Season
MARKHAM, ON – June 3, 2026 – Flato Markham Theatre is proud to unveil its highly anticipated 2026/2027 Diamond Season, inviting audiences to say “yes” to an extraordinary year of live entertainment with this year’s bold new tagline: “Are You In?”
From legendary musicians and world-class dance to immersive theatrical experiences, comedy icons, cultural celebrations, and fun-for-the-whole-family programming, the 2026/2027 Diamond Season promises a dynamic lineup designed to encourage expression, ignite curiosity, and celebrate the power of coming together through the arts.
“This Diamond Season is about coming together to experience the joy, emotion, and excitement that only live performance can create,” said the Mayor of Markham. “The Flato Markham Theatre is where creativity thrives and stories come to life, showcasing the talent and artistic spirit that are at the heart and soul of Markham.”

October
The season launches on October 3 with Canadian music legends Dan Hill and Andy Kim, who come together for an intimate evening of iconic songs and storytelling. On October 8, JUNO Award-winning trumpeter and vocalist Bria Skonberg brings her fresh, modern take on vintage jazz to the stage, and Top of FormClassic Albums Live Performs: Led Zeppelin II arrives October 9, recreating the groundbreaking album note for note and cut for cut in a powerful celebration of one of rock’s most influential records. On October 16, She Carries the Song unites Indigenous artists Celeigh Cardinal, Mimi O’Bonsawin, and Lacey Hill for a moving performance rooted in storytelling through song. Comedy fans won’t want to miss Tom Arnold with his new show My Crazy X-Wife on October 22, a hilarious night of stand-up packed with outrageous stories and sharp observations.
The following evening, on October 23, audiences are invited to join the fun with Sing Pitch Perfect, an a cappella experience featuring live audience participation and behind-the-scenes stories from the hit movie franchise. Chris Funk is in the building on October 24 with Redefining Wonder, a show combining live music, multimedia visuals, and astonishing illusions in a theatrical spectacle. Mariachi Herencia de México takes the stage October 29 with their Día de Muertos Tour, a vibrant celebration of Mexican musical tradition infused with contemporary energy and virtuosic musicianship. Wrapping up the month on October 30, Jeans ‘n Classics: Time Warp – The Music of Rocky Horror delivers a wildly theatrical symphonic rock experience featuring iconic songs brought to life on a grand scale.
November
Michael Kaeshammer returns by popular demand on November 4, showcasing his extraordinary piano virtuosity. On November 5, Matthew Good & His Band present a unique concert experience reimagining beloved songs alongside a string quartet led by acclaimed cellist Kevin Fox. Brass Transit hits the stage November 13 with a dynamic tribute to the music of CHICAGO, and on the 27th, internationally acclaimed ensemble Canadian Brass brings its signature blend of soaring musicianship, humour, and audience engagement to Flato Markham Theatre. Pavlo returns on November 28 with an evening of Mediterranean-inspired music featuring his signature fusion of Greek, flamenco, rumba, and Spanish influences. Closing the month on November 29 is Marsh Marigolds: An Agricultural Thriller by Dan Needles, starring Rod Beattie in a witty and suspenseful return to the beloved world of Persephone Township.
December
The holiday season begins December 4 with Susan Aglukark: Upinnaq-ᐅᐱᓐᓇᖅ A Beautiful Christmas, a heartfelt concert blending beloved Christmas classics in English and Inuktitut with stories inspired by Nunavut and Inuit culture. On December 11, Next Generation Leahy brings audiences together for a high-energy, joyful evening of Celtic-inspired holiday music perfect for the whole family. Jazz icon Holly Cole takes the stage December 12 with Swinging Christmas 2026, delivering holiday favourites with her unmistakable sophistication. A John McDermott Family Christmas returns December 19, continuing a cherished holiday tradition filled with storytelling, nostalgia, and festive spirit. Ballet Jörgen is back by popular demand with The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition on December 30 and 31, delighting audiences with its uniquely Canadian reimagining of the holiday classic.
January
Kick off the new year on January 2 with The Dreamboats, a celebration of classic rock ’n’ roll inspired by the sounds of the ’50s and ’60s. Acclaimed comedian Brent Butt takes the stage January 22, bringing his signature deadpan humour and sharp observational comedy to Markham audiences. On January 23, illusionist Leon Etienne presents Magic Rocks!, a thrilling family-friendly spectacle featuring jaw-dropping illusions and sleight of hand. Reggae-fusion powerhouse Ammoye brings her vibrant energy and soulful vocals to the stage January 27. Classic Albums Live Performs: Elton John, Greatest Hits arrives January 28 with a faithful recreation of some of rock’s most iconic songs performed exactly as audiences remember them. On January 29, the Toronto Jazz Orchestra joins acclaimed vocalist Heather Bambrick for an evening celebrating the legacy of big band jazz through timeless standards and original works. Closing the month on January 30, TAIKOPROJECT ignites the stage with a breathtaking blend of traditional taiko drumming, choreography, and contemporary theatrical innovation.
February
International Guitar Night returns February 5 with a globally inspired showcase featuring four extraordinary acoustic guitarists performing flamenco, jazz, Middle Eastern, Brazilian, and gypsy-jazz influences in one awesome evening. On February 26, acclaimed singer-songwriter Matt Andersen delivers a deeply emotional and soul-stirring performance showcasing songs from his latest album, The Hammer & The Rose. The following evening, February 27, Matt Dusk brings his smooth vocals and timeless modern crooner style to the stage in a performance blending jazz tradition with contemporary influences.
March
March opens on March 5 with Becoming the Beatles, a theatrical concert experience combining live music, stunning visuals and storytelling to explore the rise of the world’s most iconic band. On March 7, Dance of the Emerald Isle takes audiences on an epic journey through all 32 counties of Ireland, created by producer and former Lord of the Dance star, Chris Hannon. The award-winning production The Other Mozart arrives March 10, sharing the untold story of Maria Anna Mozart in a visually stunning theatrical performance. On March 12, Classic Albums Live Performs: Eagles – Hotel California recreates one of rock’s most celebrated albums note for note and cut for cut.
Families can dive beneath the waves on March 14 with Erth’s Shark Dive, an immersive theatrical experience featuring extraordinary puppetry and exploration of ocean life. High-energy brass-funk powerhouse My Son the Hurricane storms the stage March 20 with explosive performances guaranteed to get audiences on their feet. Stephanie Chou brings her innovative fusion of Chinese musical traditions and contemporary jazz to Flato Markham Theatre on March 25, and two nights later, award-winning mentalist Spidey delivers Make Believe – Magic of Your Mind, an interactive evening of mind-reading, comedy, and impossible illusions.
April
Everyone gets a chance to become the star on April 7 with Can You Sing Canada, an interactive live performance experience celebrating courage and the joy of music. Joss Arnott Dance presents Meet the Hatter on April 19, a cinematic multimedia dance production inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and designed to ignite imagination for audiences of all ages. The beloved Just For Laughs Road Show returns April 21 with another all-star lineup of comedians from the world’s largest comedy festival. On April 23, Ballet Kelowna presents Macbeth, a bold and emotionally charged reimagining of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy through contemporary dance.
Closing the spectacular 2026/2027 Diamond Season on April 24 is Canadian rock icon Lawrence Gowan, whose unmistakable voice, stage presence, and timeless hits promise an awesome finale to a season that asks audiences one unforgettable question: Are You In?
