Markham’s Park and Play Fun Tour Returns for Summer 2025
MARKHAM, ON – June 24, 2025 – The City of Markham’s Park and Play Fun Tour is back for another exciting summer, bringing free recreation and family-friendly fun to neighbourhood parks across the city. Designed for children ages 4 to 12, this drop-in program invites families to enjoy a variety of games, activities, and creative play close to home.
What’s New for 2025:
- A newly designed Park and Play Trailer packed with games, crafts, and surprises.
- An expanded activity lineup featuring mini-putt, face painting, and more.
- Exciting new tour locations, adding more neighbourhoods to the summer fun.
From July 9 to August 27, the Park and Play Fun Tour will visit a different park each week, offering a fun and inclusive outdoor experience for kids and their families. Each tour stop includes popular activities like giant Jenga, mini sports games, and a “Try-It” sports station designed to introduce new skills and encourage physical activity.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the return of the Park and Play Fun Tour for summer 2025,” said Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “This ongoing initiative reflects our City’s commitment to delivering free, high-quality recreational experiences that bring families together and energize our local parks. We can’t wait to see children laughing, playing, and making memories across Markham all season long.”
“The Park and Play Fun Tour remains a shining example of how we build stronger, more connected communities through recreation,” said Morgan Jones, Commissioner of Community Services. “In addition to offering fun, inclusive programming for children, the tour also gives families a chance to engage with a variety of City services through interactive activations at each stop. It’s a great way to explore what Markham has to offer.”
Supported by generous sponsors Markville Toyota and Alectra Utilities, this free tour is a summer staple in the City’s recreation calendar. The Tour will take place rain or shine. Families are encouraged to pack sunscreen and filled water bottle and come ready for outdoor fun.
