Overnight Street Parking Request
Online Overnight Street Parking Exemption Request
Effective October 1, 2026, the City of Markham applies a $6 processing fee to each daily overnight parking exemption request submitted through the online portal. In addition, each licence plate is now eligible for up to 10 overnight parking exemptions per calendar year. All licence plates are reset effective October 1, 2026, and received a new allocation of 10 exemptions. Any exemption approved prior to October 1, 2026, remains valid and is not subject to the new processing fee.
The $6 overnight parking exemption processing fee was approved by Council in September 2025 following a review of comparable municipalities and operational requirements. The fee supports the ongoing administration of the exemption program while ensuring residents continue to have convenient access to overnight parking requests when needed.
