Significant Weather Event
The Corporation of the City of Markham is declaring a significant weather event in respect to an Environment Canada Yellow Level Warning, starting at 1:11 PM on March 5, 2026 and continuing until further notice. Freezing rain and ice accretion of up to 2 millimeters can be expected.
Users of roads, sidewalks and bicycle lanes in the City are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so. During this time, anticipate that the City network may become slippery and hazardous.
