Museum: Science and Ceramics Camp
Join us this March Break for the ultimate STEAM Camp. Campers will spend half their day creating with clay while learning various techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching process. The other half of the day will be spent participating in hands-on science experiments, engineering projects, archaeological adventures and much more. Creative thinking required!

Museum: Half Day Pottery Camp
Come and enjoy Markham Museum’s Pottery Studio. Campers will create imaginative projects throughout the week, learning various techniques such as coiling, pinching process and slab building. Campers will be taught various pottery skills by our professional potter and gain inspiration for their projects from the Museum’s collection and natural spaces. A must have experience for any creative child! No experience required and all materials/firing included.

Museum: March Break Pre-teen & Teen Pottery Wheel Throwing Workshop
Learn how to throw on the pottery wheel or build on skills you have already learned. This extensive half day weeklong workshop led by our professional potter will help you to build a foundation of skills required to successfully create your very own ceramic vessels. By the end of the week, we will have explored forms such as cups, bowls, vases, and handled mugs! No experience required and returning participants are always welcome. Includes 5 kg of clay, firing, as well as glazes and underglazes.

The STEAM Project March Break Camp
This March Break, kids will trade screens for sparks of imagination! At The STEAM Project's camp at the Markham Museum, every day is a chance to build, tinker, and explore. Campers will dive into hands-on projects, from crafting and woodworking to simple electronics and fun engineering challenges. They’ll hammer, measure, glue, and problem-solve, discovering the joy of making things with their own hands. With activities designed for their age and abilities, kids leave with their creations, new skills, and confidence that lasts long after camp ends.*
Grades: JK to GR. 4
Dates: March 16th to March 20th, 2026

Withdrawal and Refund Policy
- A full refund in the form of a credit will be provided for any “withdrawal and refund request form” submitted to the City of Markham before the start of the program (*some exclusions apply).
- Requests submitted after the start of the program, but before the third class/program will receive a refund for the remaining class/program, less a $10 cancellation fee. There is no $10 cancellation fee if the refund remains as a credit on your account. No refund will be provided for any requests submitted on, or after, the third class/program.
(* Exclusion) Specialty Programs: At least seven (7) days' notice is required for any transfer or withdrawal and refund request for the following specialty programs : Summer & Holiday Camps, Varley Art Gallery Courses, Museum Pottery Courses, Private Tennis Lessons, Markham Sports Leagues, Aquatic Leadership Courses, One-day Courses, or Adult Workshops. - Cheque payments will be reimbursed by cheque (approximately 4-6 weeks after approval).
- Any credit balances that remain unused on a client account for two (2) years will be cleared.
