Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival Returns September 6
MARKHAM, ON – September 2, 2025 – The City of Markham is thrilled to invite families to the Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival, presented by Tim Hortons, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, outside of Aaniin Community Centre (5665 14th Avenue).
This award-winning event is one of Ontario’s largest annual children’s festivals and promises a full day of free, family-friendly fun from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.
This year’s festival will once again transform the area into a vibrant celebration of childhood, creativity, and community. Families can look forward to:
• Live entertainment on the main stage
• Interactive games and inflatables
• Hands-on crafts and educational activities
• Multicultural performances
• Delicious food vendors offering a variety of treats
“The Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival is a much-loved tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the joy and wonder of childhood,” said Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “It’s a day for families to make memories, and for kids to be kids—exploring and playing, all while celebrating the community spirit that makes Markham such a special place to live.”
In addition to free activities, Play-All-Day passes are available online for only $10+HST that provide access to giant inflatables, carnival games, trackless train and more! Price goes up on Festival day to $14 + HST. Onsite sales are debit or credit only.
New this year for pre-purchase only is the limited Millie’s Play-All-Day Bundle. For $30+HST (while supplies last), the play-all-day wristband includes an adorable Millie Limited First Edition plush toy!
Height restrictions apply to select rides. These can be viewed online on the festival website and on signs at each attraction. Please review to make sure your child is within the height requirements to participate.
Please note there is no parking at Aaniin Community Centre on September 6 except for designated accessible parking spots.
Free parking is available at Milliken Mills Community Centre & Library – 7600 Kennedy Road, where you can access the free shuttle service to the event site (to and from Aaniin Community Centre & Library).
The last bus from Milliken Mills Community Centre to Aaniin Community Centre leaves at 6:30 PM. The last bus from Aaniin Community Centre to Milliken Mills Community Centre leaves at 7:00 PM.
Free parking will also be available at the Middlefield Collegiate Institute parking lot – 525 Highglen Ave. Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
