The City of Markham offers a wide range of summer camps for children and teens, providing fun, educational, and engaging experiences in a safe and inclusive environment. With programs in sports, arts, STEM, and leadership, there is something for every interest and age group. Led by highly trained staff, our camps help participants build skills, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

Calling all nature lovers! Discover the great outdoors by exploring ECO Camp at Chimo which is situated right beside Milne Park and the Rouge River. Activities will include: campfire building, learning basic orienteering, shelter building, hiking, singing camp songs, archery, canoeing, high ropes course, low ropes course and our recently refurbished outdoor rock climbing wall!

- Computers & Business Camp: Ages 6 to 12
Campers will explore the use of computers for one hour each day and learn how to use a variety of Microsoft software. Campers will also learn and explore the exciting world of business and economics, by using “fun” money to buy, sell and trade in their own make believe business camp world. Also included are games, theme days, special guests and swimming.
Time: 9 AM to 4 PM (extended care is not included)

- Soccer Camp: Ages 6 to 12
Each day, campers develop their soccer skills, including ball control, passing and shooting. Also included are games, tournaments, theme days, and swimming. For safety reasons shin pads will be mandatory for this camp.

- Basketball Camp: Ages 6 to 9
Basketball skills is the emphasis of this high-energy camp. Dribbling, passing and shooting along with exploring the positional aspects of the game are taught. Tournaments, recreational swimming and special events will be included.

Children enjoy this fun, high-energy camp because they learn dribbling, passing, balance, foot work and shooting, along with exploring the positional aspects of the game. A tournament is held on the last day. Campers will go swimming at the Milliken Mills Pool.

Campers will receive 3 hours of combined chess and math instruction daily to learn or develop their chess skills and focus on math skills through daily math challenges. Campers will also participate in other camp activities including, games, sports, special guests, swimming and more.

This camp will engage children with an interest in robots and remote controls. Every day will feature new robotics themed activities that will be sure to educate in a fun safe environment. This camp will also include other fun camp activities including special guests, games, sports, crafts, swimming and more.

- Magic and Discovery Camp: Ages 7 to 10
Campers learn magic through a professional magician with hands-on activities and participation in a magic show. Campers also participate in outdoor play, arts and crafts, sports, games and theme days. Swimming is offered at some locations.

- Science Camp: Ages 7 to 10
Explore science through fun, hands-on experiments and weekly themes. Campers participate in a variety of science activities, as well as outdoor play, sports and games. Recreational swim will be included in some locations.

- Jr Sports Camp: Ages 4 to 6
Campers develop the basic skills needed to play a variety of sports. Each day focuses on developing their skills through drills, practice and play. This camp will also offer cooperative games, arts and crafts, outdoor play plus special guests. No recreational swimming will be held at this camp.

- Junior Fun in the Sun Camp: Ages 4 to 6
Campers will participate in a fun camp environment that consists of sports, activities and crafts throughout the day.

- Junior Swim Camp
Learn to swim while participating in a fun camp environment that consists of games and activities in the water, on land, indoors and outdoors. Swimming lessons are for Levels 1 and 2 only.

- Ball Hockey Camp: Ages 7 to 12
Each day, campers develop their stick handling skills, including ball control, passing and shooting. Also included are games, tournaments, theme days. Swimming is available.
Required Equipment: CSA approved Hockey Helmet with cage and Hockey Gloves. Please bring a hockey stick if you have one at home.
Note: Equipment will be checked at sign-in on the first day of camp. Without a CSA approved helmet with cage and hockey gloves, campers will not be able to participate in camp ball hockey activities.

- Baseball Camp: Ages 7 to 12
The program focuses on building the fundamentals of baseball, from hitting, throwing and catching to fielding. All participants must have a baseball glove and wear a hat and appropriate shoes. The program is designed to promote team play and foster the love of the sport.
